Melody took a deep breath and said, “No, I am still angry. I’m going to wash my face!”
After Melody left, Briana stood by the railing of the corridor and sent a message to Amy, then put away her phone and pondered how to deal with this incident.
Regardless of whether MY Corporation’s designers have engaged in plagiarism or not, this incident has already caused a very negative impact on MY Corporation. If it is not resolved properly, the company’s future survival environment will become even worse.
“Briana! What are you doing here?!”
A sharp sound rang out not far away, interrupting Briana’s train of thought.
She looked up and saw Mallory and Kiley walking towards her, with Kiley carrying several shopping bags in her hands.
Mallory’s face was filled with disgust and dissatisfaction as she took a few steps towards Briana. She sneered and said, “Yesterday, your dad asked you to say a few good words for the Schneider Group in front of Maxim, but you were too busy. Yet today, you have time to go shopping?!”
Briana appeared indifferent, treating the two individuals as if they were strangers.
“Mrs. Schneider, you did not fulfill your duty of taking care of me, and it seems that I have no obligation to help you either.”
Mallory looked cold and stared at Briana as if she was looking at some trash.
“Briana, how dare you say such things?! When you returned to the Schneider family at the age of sixteen, were we lacking food or clothing for you? Didn’t you have everything that Kiley had? Now you’re saying we didn’t raise you, have you no shame?!”
Briana was well aware of Mallory’s dominant personality, where everything she said was considered wrong in her eyes.
She also couldn’t be bothered to explain, and said indifferently, “Say whatever you want.”
Seeing her about to leave, Mallory stopped her and asked, “When do you plan to divorce Maxim?!”
A hint of surprise flashed in Briana’s eyes as she lightly glanced at Kiley, who had been silent all along. She raised an eyebrow and said, “What? Someone can’t wait?”
Kiley’s face stiffened, and she bit her lower lip before saying, “Briana, what’s the point of continuing to pester Maxim… Please give him back to me!”
“Did I bother Maxim? Did he tell you?”
“Although Maxim didn’t say it, anyone with keen eyes could tell that he didn’t like you.”
Briana used to think that Kiley was just a green tea, but now she realizes that she was actually blind.
“Briana, what does this half–dead attitude of yours mean?! I warn you, divorce Maxim immediately! Otherwise, I won’t let you off the hook!”
Briana glanced at Mallory with a half–smile and said, “Mrs. Schneider, what makes you think you can order me around? Have you forgotten- that you recently held a press conference and publicly severed ties with me?”
Mallory didn’t expect Briana to bring up this matter to choke her, and she instantly turned pale with anger.
“You! Fine! Since you want to sever ties, then give me back the money I’ve spent on supporting you for these years!”
Briana originally didn’t want to bother with her, but she didn’t expect her to be so weird.
“Then you have Kiley give me back my bone marrow, and I will immediately repay the money the Schneider family has spent on me over the years!”
As the words fell, Kiley and Mallory’s faces turned extremely ugly.
“Kiley was your biological sister, donating bone marrow to her was a matter of course!”
Briana smiled and said, “So, you being my mom, isn’t it only natural for you to raise me?”
Briana was also too lazy to waste any more time talking to her, so she turned around and left directly.
Mallory stared at her back, as if trying to bore a hole through her body, “Briana, you wait for me!”
Kiley quickly supported her, “Mom, don’t bother comparing yourself to Briana, she’s just not mature yet.”
“You’re already 23 years old and still not mature?! You’re younger than her, but much more sensible than her!”
“Let’s not talk about this matter anymore, let’s go home.”
Mallory nodded, her anger still lingering on her face.
“By the way, your father wants to invite Maxim to have a meal to thank him for involving the Schneider Group in the East City project. Why don’t you personally invite him?”
