Today’s a mess. Filled with words that grated on my nerves and made me want to go crazy.
Josie…Josie was really engaged with another man?

I want to know him. I freaking want to know what’s so special about him that she accepted his engagement ring.
I feel deeply hurt.

“Let them in,” I ordered and the patients trickled in.
They did the checkup on Mr. Zach’s sperm, to check whether the cause of their Childlessness was from him. And then his wife sent for a full body scan.
After that, I took on a few more patients before I began a ward–to–ward inspection for the evening.
I was on my way to my office when Doctor Sanders fell into my path.
“Doc…” She called.
I gnawed my lips, wanting to hold my lycan back before it did something people.
“I’m sorry about what happened earlier I wasn’t in the right state of mind.” She whispered.
I heaved a breath and shrugged. Looking at her with a straight face, I declared. “That should never happen ever again, Ms. Sanders, or I’ll send you packing if such acts ever repeat themselves.”
The firmness of my tone told her I wasn’t joking. She nodded so eagerly and skittered off like her tail was on fire.
Yawning, I finished the remaining distance to my office, hoping inside, I took a seat.
Thoughts about Josie rushed to my mind again and to get rid of it, I reached the mini bar in my office and pulled out the half bottle of Martini.

Sinking back into my seat, I gulp the drink directly from the bottle.
Every gulp came with a reminder of her harsh words.
“Dammit!” I curse, smashing the bottle hard on the desk. I’m surprised it didn’t break though.
My phone rang in my moment of anger and I grabbed it up and saw the name flashing on it.
“Fuck!” 1 grumbled, pouting my lips.
Seriously, my mother was the last person I wanted to talk with now.
I ignored the call but it came again, leaving me no choice but to pick it up.
“Hello, Ashton.” Her soft voice came in and I hummed a response back.
Being the former Luna, my mother now has a diner she manages. She chose that because she had a passion for cooking. I helped set up the place for her and now It’s one of the classy spots in town.
“Don’t tell me you call to nag about me getting a Luna.” I bit out, picking up the martini again.
I heard her sigh. “As if I’d ever stop.” She said, scoffing.
Even though she was aware of my curse, she still demanded I find a Luna to help me in running the pack.
And I sure know the person she has in mind.
“Then I’m not in for that annoying discussion…” I barked, wanting to end the call but her voice. popped in.
“Ashton, listen. I need your help.
“With what?”
She heaved a breath, then. “I’m running short of staff and I need your help in attending to my customers and those who made reservations.” She stated.
“Wait, you’re telling me that you want me to work as your waiter?” I scoffed, incredulously.
“Don’t make it sound bad, Ash. You’re just helping me out. It would be nice to have an alpha here.

Though I wanted to say no, I couldn’t, especially knowing how full the diner always is, she’d overwork herself which might be bad for her health.
“Fine. I’ll be there.”
She shrieked in joy at the other side before hanging up.
