Ashton’s POV.
The moment I walked out of my office with my patient’s
family in tow, i paused when some fresh lavender scent pummeled my nose. I knew quickly who they belonged to.
Though my nostrils were used to that lovely scent, my eyes didn’t prepare me for the sight I was about to see.
My curious eyes raked the faces in the long hallway of the hospital until they fell on Josie’s.
I looked at her face briefly until my eyes burned a track down to her chest. There I found the mounds of her breasts, creamy, full, portable enough to

I saw her mouth move, responding some words to Sanders. The moment Sanders bristled into two feet, raising her hand to react. I moved forward.
“Dr. Sanders?” I called, my gait firm as I approached them. The woman halted and brought her hand back down to her side
“Oh, doc. I didn’t know you were here.” She said, blushing intricately.
“I hope there’s no problem going on between you and Ms. Rose?” I asked, watching Josie through the corner of my

“No..not at all.” Dr. Sanders denied frantically, and I scoffed.
“Good. Please, I urge you to treat Ms. Rose with adequate respect. Just as you have for me, am I clear?” I asked, pinning my gaze on her.

Satisfied, veered a little and gestured for my clients to follow me to the second floor,
Josie looked expectantly at me and I mouthed. “I’ll be right back.”
**Josie’s POV.***
I thought when Ashton said he’d be right back, it meant he’d be away for about ten minutes but that was not the
case.
I had been here for five hours and the man hadn’t shown up. Why?
Anyway, he was the one wasting his time. Our agreement was ninety days and we have stayed thirty–seven, save for the days he traveled to India.
I couldn’t help remembering how he butted in this morning, admonishing that slutty doctor and ordering her to
respect me.
That made me feel funny inside but I did my best to wipe it away from my face.
I wouldn’t let Ashton know what I’ve been thinking about him. Not in that naughty way at least.
I sat in the waiting room, flipping through the pages of newspapers when I felt a figure standing before me.
“Huh, you again?” I groused, hating the crazy look the woman was giving me.
Is she that crazy about Ashton? I thought but who the was I kidding?
Ashton’s always been the one grabbing women’s attention effortlessly. So, Dr. Sanders was no different.
“You should be happy I’m being respectful now, bitch.” She remarked.
I gave her a faux smile, saying. “For someone in your field, there are some words you ain’t meant to say.”
“Whatever. Follow me.” She turned away after that but I dug my heels on the floor, watching her retreating back.
So contemptuous! I growled, picking up the papers and aiming to focus my attention on it.
It wasn’t long and I heard her storiping feet on the floor as she approached me.

“I said, follow me.” Her words held a hint of command and I dropped a mock laugh.
“If that’s your definition of respect, then I suggest you try again.”
She reeled my words, anger palpable on her face. I so want to teach her not to mess with me at all.
And that’s what I did. I ignored her fuming ass, brought out my phone that was ringing, and saw Tessa’s name flashing on the screen.
“Girl! It’s taco night, remember?” She said and I chuckled.
“Of course, how I can miss it?” I retort with a laugh.
“Good, so we promise to keep kids outta it tonight,” Tessa said again.
“Huh, why?”
“Girl, women get some women things to do. No kids allowed.”
That meant I was either going to leave Aria with Ms. Beth or with Diego.
“Fine. I agree.”
Tessa giggled sheepishly as we hung up. I took that breathing moment to capture the sight of the young janitor with untamed blonde hair approaching me.
“Ms. Rose, doc requested your presence.”
“See, that’s why I came calling you!” Doctor Sanders practically yelled. I paid her no mind as I gaited down the hall, in tow with the janitor.
I wonder where he’s taking me.
“Please, where is it we are going?” I cut through the silence harassing us but the young man only shook his shoulder.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Rose.” He managed a smile. Then. “I was specifically ordered not to let a word slip.”
Wow! Really? What in hell’s name is going on? I thought to myself, pattering my heels on the floor.
Certainly, this isn’t the part that leads to Ashton’s office. There were rows of doors on both sides of the white hallway. Each door had a tag on it
That was when I saw one with Dr. Sanders written on it.
That built my curiosity to a roaring height. I managed to keep my mouth shut but I couldn’t and then. “Could you at least give me a hint of where we’re going. I promise not to talk after this.”

The janitor shook his head again. “I can’t go against
an alpha’s order. Unless you want me to be beheaded.”
“What? He’ll behead you just because you whispered something to me?” I bashed at his back, asking.

“Yes, Ms. Rose. We’re meant to abide by orders and avoid punishments like that. Besides I’m ordered not to step inch close to you. So I can’t even whisper anything out.”
Jeez, his words made my brows jam together like butter and bread. Was that the order Ashton gave him?
Now I understood why the janitor was walking a step ahead.
Cussing under my breath, I surged forward, wanting to fall into steps beside him but he fled.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Rose. Please forgive me if I’ve ever wronged you but I want to keep being alive. For my family at least?”
My shoulders sagged immediately after he said those words. I’ll have to deal with Ashton later.
Pouting my lips, I told him to continue.
In record time, the janitor stopped at the end of the long hallway.
Instantly, my eyes widened and my jaw slacked.
What is this? I thought as my eyes danced around the entire place.
