Ashton’s POV.
Call me a stalker, I wouldn’t mind. In fact, I wouldn’t care about whatever names people might call me. Maybe, an alpha chasing a woman who clearly didn’t want him. That’d not be enough to make
me stop.
The instant Josie left the casino, I wanted to go after her but stopped when a man came up to me.
“Buddy, I advise you don’t try that shit next time…” The man had slurred and I wrinkled my brows, watching as he even clasped my hand tightly.
“What do you mean?” I bit out and he chuckled..
“I bet you’re new here, huh?” He teased but I found nothing amusing. All I felt was the need to rush out of there and chase after my mate.
The man tsked and sank into the seat behind him. “The guy you just harassed?” He shook his head. “He’s Alpha Logan’s brother…the popular loan shark. You don’t wanna get in his bad book.”
Hearing those words from him told me something. I had brought danger into Josie’s life.
That son of bitch Logan must have sent his men after her. Why would he dare that after I paid the money she owed him?
“Ask everyone around and they’ll confirm my words.”
“I don’t bloody care what the he is and what he bloody does!” I gritted out, my fists balling.
“Hmmm….buddy, you gotta be careful. You shouldn’t interfere in whatever he does. Especially the women he takes interest in.” I released pent–up anger through my growl and the man backed away.
That was only when he knew I was also an alpha.
“I’ll end his generation if he touch my woman.”
The man’s eyes were still owl–wide as I dashed out of the casino, searching for Josie.
My nerves were tight with worry as my instinct told me something was off.
I could no longer see the rogue wolves around. Not even to perceive their foul scent.
I hurried to my car, wanting to start it but I remembered Dane was with the key.
I cussed and went in search of Josie on legs. I believed she hadn’t gotten far given there were no cars moving about then.
I wandered through the rocky parts of the street for minutes before I smelled the rogues scent.

My movement paused suddenly when I found out Josie’s scent mixed with theirs but it was faint.
Instinctively, my lycan surged forward, making my eyes flash. Before I could stop myself, I began shifting.
I tore through the street with my high sense of smell as I searched the direction where Josie was.
Just as was getting there, my eyes took in the scene where that blue–haired hair rogue was abusing
what was mine.
I took off in a dead run, snarling as I drew closer.
When another of the rogue carried Josie to take her away, I thundered a howl and launched my hands over the rogue’s neck, pressing him into a wall.
That was when I went feral, fighting off the rogues that wanted to take my mate.
I made sure to send the rogue alpha a package in the form of his brother’s head.
He crossed the line after what I told him and he’d definitely hear from me.
When I shifted back, standing tall and naked before her, Josie’s eyes raked my body and I felt my shaft jerking awake.
But before the lustful feelings could fester she lost consciousness.
I hurried over quickly and carried her in a bridal style.
I needed to examine her and give her some treatment.
With that in mind, I found my way around and brought Josie to the pack house.
Just as I was climbing the stairs she stirred in my arms, cracking her eye open.
“Where are you taking me?” She croaked, looking surprised.
Josie’s POV.
“My house…” Ashton’s words made my eyes fly open quickly. I looked at him with a surprised face as I thought…
Why would he bring me here?
I tried getting off of his arms, still aware that he was naked, but he refused.

“Stay put, you are hurt. I’m gonna take care of your wounds.”
I whined but he didn’t let go. With my head pressed against his chest, I melted and became putty.
I felt every muscle in his hand ripple as he climbed the stairs. I sneaked a peek around to see servants wandering the house in their uniform.
At the top of the stood two burly guards and they both bowed their heads for Ashton, then peeking
at me.
Ashton grumbled his response and began plodding down the white hallway.
Doors flanked both sides of the hallway, however, on getting to the third room by the right, he stopped.
Again, I noticed the guards there as they opened the door.
“Welcome, alpha.” They greeted.
Ashton got me into the room and deposited me on the bed like I was one fragile gem.
As he inched away from me, I propped up quickly and where my eyes landed made me gasp.
Why the do I keep staring at his manhood?
I could feel my cheeks warming up and I knew I was blushing.
Still, I had my eyes there, looking at the size and salivating. His balls were obviously big. Not the normal ones I usually see in porn.

There’s a huge wolf head molded across the head of his king–sized bed.

“Be still, Jo….Ms. Rose you ain’t fit enough to leave. Allow me to take of you.” Ashton uttered, holding my arms to steady me on the bed.
A strong sensation zipped through me at the feel of his hands. Hearing him say he wants to take care of me makes me hunger for his touch more.
But…it doesn’t make sense that someone who hadn’t valued me before suddenly cares. It doesn’t.
My heavy breaths matched his as we started at each other. His gray eyes doing so much to me than his hands were yet to do.
This close, he asked. “Did they touch you….by any means…”
I felt the hint of anger and jealousy in his tone but I could only shake
my head.
“I’m glad they didn’t or else it would have been worse than that.”
His harsh words made me remember his bulky lycanwolf. That was my first time seeing it which made me unable to recognize him.
My wolf felt calm with him this close. I could feel her wagging its tail and purring.
Ashton’s hands trail from my forearms and lower. I felt the fire he left behind on me…

Quickly, I push his hand away.
“I’m sorry.” He muttered and moved a fraction of an inch away. “I’ve ordered my servants to get my medical kit from my study.” He said, watching me.

The clang of the door hauled me away from my thoughts and I looked up to see Ashton heading
towards me with his medical kit.
Setting the kit at the foot of the bed, he opened the lid and brought out his saline solution.
Gently, he wet the cotton pad and inched his hand to my nose, wiping the blood.
Every touch of his fingers sent sparks through me.
My body became highly alive like a live wire, I could snap any moment from now.
In my dazed state, Ashton tended the wounds on my forehead.
His face was mere inches from my neck when I realized what was happening and it made my pulse. hammer insanely.
What does he want to do? I thought.
“Josie…” he belted out suddenly and before I could correct his use of the name, I felt Ashton press his lips flat against the crook of my neck.
A startled moan escaped my lips and unwillingly my eyes slammed close as he twirled his tongue. over my pulse…
My blood raged at the rise of an inferno, my heart jolting, sending strings of pleasure through my belly, only stopping at my clit.
This..this felt…good, I murmured, feeling his tongue lapping at my neck.
“Ashton…….top…” I whispered, wanting to push him back even though I wanted him to do dirty things to me..

He didn’t stop though, he wired me with sensational that nearly made me buckle.
A knock on the door saved me from imminent destruction and we pulled away from each other.
1 panted and he cursed. Barreling to the door, he fluttered it open in anger and snapped at the servant. I felt bad knowing the servant hadn’t done anything to deserve his wrath. The person even saved me without knowing.
There, I got myself
back together, my mind finding evidence that’d make my hatred for him remain firm, even as my wolf disagreed.
Ashton shut the door after he told the servant he’d be out in a few minutes.
Turning to me, he said gruffly. “I’m sorry about that. My beta needs my attention for something
important.”
He plodded to his closet and brought out pants and a shirt.
“The servants will bring food up. So you eat for the night. I’ll be right back.” He told me.
The instant the door shut behind him, I knew immediately I had to escape.
I can’t do this. I can’t spend the night on his bed. I can’t.
With that resolve, I rushed to the window and looked down. My wolf helped me see clearly even in the dark.
The coast is clear, I muttered.
I’d rather leave through the window than through the door because the guards won’t let me.
At that firm decision, I crawled my legs over the window panes and jumped into the night.
